Off to eat all the pasta / pizza possible
As some of you may (or may not) know, I have family from all over. Well, okay, not all over, but Greece, Germany and Italy. And three countries is pretty much all over, right? No? Ah, oh well.
Anyway, I'm off on a jaunt to good ol' Italy to visit some of my relatives who I've never actually met. Yep, the last time we had a spare moment to vacation to Italy to see that side of the family I was just a teeny tiny little birdie inside my mum's tummy. So they've never actually met me. Which is a shame, because I'm just wonderful (don't disagree, allow me to feed my ego).
So, tomorrow I'm leaving (on a normal aeroplane, not a jet plane like the above awesome clip states) to go to Sorrento where I'll be eating gelato and pizza and pasta (yes, I embrace my stereotypes) and visiting Ischia and Capri and, of course, Naples, where said awesome family meeting awaits.
I'm just hoping that they go slow with the Italian, because I'm still a novice. Eh, who am I kidding? I'm going to have to do a lot of nodding and smiling, I know it. And a whole lot of sì, grazie.
But you needn't worry my bookish friends, I shall be back with a new review on Tuesday, July 16th and service shall resume as normal.
But until then: ciao, arrivederci, ci vediamo presto. (And I did all that without the help of Google translate - what a pro!)
