*Top Ten Tuesday* Kick-ass Secondary Characters!

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and The Bookish, where we get to reveal our top ten of whatever they chose as the weekly topic! Click here for a list of future topics.
Top Ten Secondary Characters

The Weasley Twins from the Harry Potter series
(They provided the most laughs for me and were my constant go-to-guys for feel good vibes ... especially when everything started getting serious in the story)

Dobby from the Harry Potter series
(DOBBY IS A FREE ELF. That is all)

Truth Squad from This Lullaby
(These boys were hilarious. Their banter and chemistry was just brilliant and I would love to have them play at my wedding. Hate Spinnerbait!)

Ben Starling from Paper Towns
(Ben is fantastic throughout, from his drunken debacles to his obsession with Lacey and his surprising poignancy. He's a great best friend to Quentin)

Adam from Along for the Ride
(He teaches Auden to ride a bike and I couldn't help but crack up at him during the infamous hot dog party. Oh, Adam, so innocent and so hilarious)

(His inappropriate one-liners and general lack of social skills just made the book that much more brilliant)

(Isaac and Augustus's bromance was one of my favourite things about TFiOS. And the eulogy scene? *Sniffles*)

(I've been playing GOTCHA ever since I read this. My friends hate it. Also Bert's ambulance is now my dream car)

(Drew only appeared briefly but made SUCH an impact, especially when he spoke to Amy about making a new home for herself. Also, he really made me want to try crumbly burgers. In fact, reading this entire book made me so hungry)

Jamie from Lock & Key
(Jamie was amazing. He was so understanding of Ruby, really supportive and a general nice guy. He was such a help in breaking down her walls and their father-daughter-esque relationship was wonderful to see)

Who are some of your favourite secondary characters?

Allie is a Pimm's-obsessed reader, who dreams of road tripping over America, learning to surf & becoming fluent in all the languages of her heritage (which, sadly, does not include Elvish). If she's not reading or blogging, you can find her catching up on Teen Wolf, or reigning supreme with Scrabble/Mario Kart. Stalk her on twitter, instagram or goodreads.

  1. I think I need to read more Sarah Dessen and John Green. I'm terrible at catching up with their books. :P But I agree with the Weasley twins and Dobby the house elf. The Harry Potter books are just full of great characters. Brilliant list, Allie!

  3. OOh nice list! Seeing lots of Harry Potter picks! Somehow forgot to include everyone from that series! But I guess because in some respects anything Harry Potter related is practically a given when it comes to listing various types of faves!

    Here's my Tuesday Post

    Have a GREAT day!

  6. Good thought on Isaac from TFIOS! I almost felt the most sympathy for him -- the idea of KNOWING you are about to lose your eyesight forever? I can't imagine the strength that took.

    1. I know! That thing about his doctor at the beginning cracked me up though: 'Thank you for explaining that my eye cancer isn't going to make me deaf. I feel so fortunate that an intellectual giant like yourself would deign to operate on me.' Isaac is so awesome

    1. I almost wish we got to see more of him ... but that might've meant less Augustus time. And that would be unacceptable!

  8. Yaaay for Fred and George! They were probably the first bromance I ever watched, hence my undying love for bromances :P They were brilliant and fun and ugh... that scene in the battle is just.. sad.

    1. I love a good bromance! That's why I love TV shows like White Collar :D

Don't even get me started on that battle scene though ... my heart can't take it!
