Recapping March: What This Month Had To Offer

What March meant for me:
With Lent stealing the spotlight, I've basically been on a baking ban. I had the smart idea to give up chocolate, biscuits and cake, which means that my brand new mixer is now gathering dust in the corner of the kitchen, taunting me with its ability to make yummy desserts I can't eat.

Yeah, I can see all of your faces right now at my Lent extremism:

I've also joined the FYA Book Club and have loved going to meetings with the girls. It's so much fun to actually be able to converse with real, live human beings about books, since nobody I know is into reading as much as I am. Plus we went to see the Veronica Mars movie the other week AND IT WAS SO GOOD. I've missed having LoVe in my life.

(I'm not ashamed to admit I spent a good thirty minutes looking at Logan Echolls gifs, before I remembered I was meant to be looking for ones of Logan and Veronica).

Show of the Month (yep — plural!):

Obsessions:

Taylor Swift perfumes have taken over my life! I'm so fussy with scents, it's unreal. Everything always just smells so chemically to me; I like more sweet, fruity perfumes and I can never seem to find ones that fit the bill.

Enter: Taylor Swift. Her perfumes actually smell amazing. Floral, fruity, sweet and not at all overpowering. Enchanted (the red one) is my favourite and whenever I wear it I oodles of compliments. I've never had so many people telling me how good I smell before (I have no clue why. I always smell awesome, clearly). And I love that people are always so surprised when I tell them it's Taylor Swift.

There's a definite stigma attached to celebrity perfumes, but I've gotta say that Taylor has done well on these!

So that's my month! How did March treat you?

    1. It really is :( I normally bake every Sunday, but it's hard to find something that isn't either a biscuit, cake, or contains chocolate lol.

    1. I hope they do another movie! The first one was a great nod to the fans, but I feel like they missed out some loose ends because they just didn't have the time.

  9. Ohh, you did well this March!! I read about 19 books which I'm quite surprised I got through so many considering I'm editing as well. Gah. TOO much happening. I didn't know Taylor Swift made perfume... o.O My sister and I are chewing through Supernatural at the moment. I'm a season ahead of her, and it's hilarious to watch her demise into the fandom. MWHAHAAHA. I AM THE BEST SISTER.

  11. I love your recap and I share your pain with the perfume situation. I am extremely picky because I don't like stuff that is too flowery. I actually really like Justin Bieber's Girlfriend fragrance the best. I also have his Someday but it isn't my favorite. I am also a new bloglovin follower!

    Have a great weekend!

  12. You must be so strong to give up good stuffs for Lent! It sounds like you're doing really well, though! This really makes me want to check out Taylor Swift perfumes! I am weird about perfumes, but they sound like they might be nice! I have Daisy by Marc Jacobs and I like it but I don't love it. I will definitely check them out at some point. When I have monies to spare! Sounds like a good month on the blog and some good books read, too!
