* Top Ten Tuesday * The Best Book Buddies

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and The Bookish, where we get to reveal our top ten of whatever they chose as the weekly topic! Click here for a list of future topics.

Ronan and Gansey from The Raven Cycle

The Truth Squad guys from This Lullaby

Rafe and Ben from Openly Straight

Harry, Hermione and Ron from Harry Potter

Cinder and Iko from The Lunar Chronicles

Augustus and Isaac from TFiOS

Celaena and Nehemia from Throne of Glass

Cath and Reagan from Fangirl

Ezra and Toby from Severed Heads, Broken Hearts

So do you agree on the book buddies I've chosen? Any friendships you think should have made it into my top ten?

Allie is a Pimm's-obsessed reader, who dreams of road tripping over America, learning to surf & becoming fluent in all the languages of her heritage (which, sadly, does not include Elvish). If she's not reading or blogging, you can find her catching up on Teen Wolf, or reigning supreme with Scrabble/Mario Kart. Stalk her on twitter, instagram or goodreads.

  2. YES, The Truth Squad! What a unique pick, but thank you for including them because I think they're one of my favourite male friendships I've read. You don't really see that type of "brotherhood" in books so having this group of boys who were so close was really refreshing!

    1. Definitely! They were just brilliant together; I loved their group dynamic. From all the challenges to the Potato Opus ^.^

  3. OOh nice picks!! Remember reading The Last Lullaby many many many many moons ago! Back when there was hardly any paranormal YA! I think I donated all my Sarah Dessen books because I wanted them to find a new home where they could be loved instead of sitting in a box in my basement where I would likely never re-read it again! In a completely different way of not re-reading my other reads of course!

    Here's my Tuesday post

    Have a GREAT day!

  8. I WAS going to put Celaena and Nehemia down on my list, but then I got all sad as I was thinking over what happened to *cough* YOU KNOW WHO *cough* in Crown of Midnight, so I didn't. I put a Muppets encyclopedia down instead ;)

Ohhhh, I forgot all about Ezra and Toby's great friendship! I think I was to busy sulking over the rubbish ending to remember it. ;) IT HAPPENS. Shows what a great memory I have, lol. ;)

    1. You'll love Severed Heads - it's very John Green-esque. Kind of a mix of Paper Towns and Looking for Alaska.

(Love nail art. Nowhere near as talented as you though!!!)

    Cinder = I love forever.
Fangirl = best personality clash friendship of ever.

    1. It was great that HP was always the three of them and there was always a focus on friendship before romance :D that's rare to see in books!
