Recapping May: What Last Month Had To Offer

What May  meant for me:
May was a pretty solid month, mostly because I had some amazing breakthroughs with my novel and, for the first time in a long time, I really feel like I know where I'm going with it. The story and the characters . . . it's all just coming together wonderfully, and I'm so excited. It's great to have those 'ah hah!' moments

Obsessions:

I'm totally in love with this store called The Range where I got all these awesome signs for my room, along with that super cute box! Their stuff is amazing and I'm completely obsessed.

Another great store I've become addicted to is The Bright Side. They have such cute storage tins, pillows, notebooks (and everything else really, too), all with cute and funny little things written on them. I'm going to be ordering from them a lot, because their stuff is both hilarious and adorable, and I can't resist.

So that's my month! How did May treat you?

Allie is a Pimm's-obsessed reader, who dreams of road tripping over America, learning to surf & becoming fluent in all the languages of her heritage (which, sadly, does not include Elvish). If she's not reading or blogging, you can find her catching up on Teen Wolf, or reigning supreme with Scrabble/Mario Kart. Stalk her on twitter, instagram or goodreads.

  1. HUZZAH FOR NOVEL BREAKTHROUGHS. *parties quietly with you* Those are the best and so so relieving. XD I'm thinking June will be for writing for me, again, and I'll work more on reading series since my TBR stack is so teeny tiny (omg! I'm nearly on top of it and I don't even know what to think!) XD I think I read about 15 books this month? Or maybe 13...haha. I can't even remember. I think the best was The Assassin's Blade.

    1. I'm so excited, Cait! I feel like I'm on such a roll with it now that I'm writing every chance I get :D

I'm doing the series challenge this year, so I need to read a few more series myself. I've been slacking a bit with that, since I've been admiring so many shiny debuts!

  2. Thank you for linking me Allie, and once again, thank you for the giveaway, it looks beautiful next to my other Smith books, so excited to read it! I liked Arrow's first series, but I'm just not sure on it now, maybe I'll have to give it another go? I have to admit though, all those little goodies are so vintage and cute, they would be beautiful to own, so lucky you! :)

    1. You're welcome, I can't wait to hear what you think!

Ohhh Arrow got so much better, honestly. One of my friends was iffy on it, but I poked him endlessly until he stuck it out and now he's beyond addicted. This last series was so awesome

    1. Ahhh I hate that! That always happens to me when I go away; the break just makes me forget where I was and I feel like I'm starting over again just by trying to get back into the rhythm

    1. Indeed I am! I've been working on it for a while now, but it's been so patchy and all over the place that I've been a little depressed about it. I've finally got to that 'WOOOO' place now though and everything is coming together.

It's a duology – I'll have to send you an email to natter about it actually :)

  6. Those stores sound great...love the Paris box and the happy tin. I'm a bit of a nut for cute boxes and tins and whatnot. lol That's great you're doing well on your novel. I have an idea that I need to start researching more, so I can get back to writing.

  11. Thanks for linking me! :) Eeep <3 I LOVE The Range, they have so many amazing finds in there and they are so reasonable too. Have to admit to not being a fan of The Treatment, Realm got to me and so did Sloane. The end wrapped up far too quickly for me too.

It's so addictive in that store, isn't? I didn't expect to find as many awesome things as I did!

Oh, dude . . . do not, I mean DO NOT, get me started on Realm. I don't know why he exists. He was just horrible and ahhh *takes deep breath*. Me no likey

    1. Bright Side have their stuff on Amazon, you should take a look :D

Don't be put off by my Tiger Lily rating - so many people love it! I'm just a massive Peter Pan fan, so was annoyed by the portrayal of some of my favourite characters
