Ultimate Autumn Books on My TBR {Top Ten Tuesday}

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and The Bookish, where we get to reveal our top ten of whatever they chose as the weekly topic! Click here for a list of future topics.

This week's topic is our top books for Autumn. Yeah, I said AUTUMN, because I'm the ultimate rebel (and, you know, also British). So these are the books I plan to wade through and I am so excited to read them all. Seriously. It's like Booktopia.

How gorgeous are those covers, guys? MY BOOKSHELVES NEED THEM!
Are you stoked for the same books I am? What books are at the top of your list to read this autumn?

  1. I'm so excited about Blue Lily, Lily Blue! I need to get a copy as soon as it's published. I devoured the first two books for the first time this year and I still can't believe it took me so long.. Happy reading!

  5. So much win on this list <3 I’m so excited for Blue Lily, Lily Blue, and I’m actually going to be reading The Infinite Sea sometime soon! I just started The Darkest Minds so I can catch up to In the After Light, and I’m freaking out with how amazing it is. I’m still trying to decide on Salt and Storm, but we’ll see what happens ;)

    1. Me too – I'm starting Infinite Sea straight after I'm done with DoGaM (though that book is huge, so it may take me a year or two :P).

I really want to read Sparks Rise (Darkest Minds novella) but I can't find it anywhere. It's pure torture

  6. Hahah 'Autumn'... such a rebel. And yes, YES TO ADDICTED AFTER ALL. I'm so glad Siiri pushed you into reading this series and that you're loving it! Love that Raisy is your OTP. LiLo will forever be mine! And we all know who the Coballoway shipper is here lol. I haven't even read book two of Mara Dyer yet but I'm super hyped for the third! And I've been meaning to start The Darkest Mind cause seriously, all three book titles making a sentence? That's just brilliant. Plus, I've only heard good things about it so far. Hope you enjoy all of these books :)

    1. Right? I can barely contain my bad-ass self ;)

Siiri MORE THAN PUSHED that series on me. Dude, she practically force-fed it to me haha. BUT I'M SO GLAD BECAUSE I LOVE MY ADDICTED BOYS <33
Seee, this works out well because you get Lo, I get Ryke and then Siiri gets Connor. No cat fights necessary LOL.

You know, I didn't even realise about the book title sentence thing until the other day. That's how much of a dream world I live in!

  7. So many of these books are on my TBR list but didn't make it onto my TTT post!! I'm really hoping to read The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer next month. Dorothy Must Die has been sitting on my bookshelf for awhile now, I guess it's about time I read it :).

    Happy reading!

  9. Lovely picks! (And you've changed your header, right? Please tell me I'm not imagining that?! Looks good!). I'm hoping to start the Mara series soon, book #1 is bought and waiting, I've seen Made For You around so it's on my radar, but not my immediate TBR, I haven't read The 5th Wave yet, but I have the eBook and I'll get to it soon (though "soon" feels a lot like 2015 right now!). Salt and Storm is another I want to check out, but I've heard mixed reviews, and I need to get on that Stiefvater series like yesterday!

    1. Haha, no you're not crazy – I've got a new blog design :D

The 5th Wave is great! It was one of my favourites from last year and actually one of the first dystopians I read :D

  10. Blue Lily, Lily Blue, Retribution and In the Afterlight are pretty much leading my TBR. I've conjured multiple scenarios in my mind of the quickest means of grabbing a copy, post-release. All three belong to amazing series', each in their own right!

    What a fabulous TBR you have planned! Mine's pretty much all over the place but the essence is, I just want to read all the new releases. There, I said it. I want to read everything D;

    1. Blue Lily is literally my most anticipated read this year. I adore the Raven Cycle series. I can't believe it's going to end soon. CANNOT. HANDLE. THAT.

Haha, yeah I want ALL THE BOOKS too. It's an illness of mine. Compulsive Reader Disease. There's no cure. I don't even care :P

  11. I love your new design! Great list! I really need to continue with The Raven Boys series, the first one was so good and I just haven't grabbed the rest

You MUST read Dream Thieves. It was actually a lot better than Raven Boys (which is near impossible, I know!).

  12. Allie! SO many great books here! :D I am so excited to see what you think of them all! :) I am also highly anticipating The Infinite Sea because, like you, I really liked The 5th Wave and can't wait to see where the story goes from here.

I've only read the first book in The Darkest Minds series since I keep getting distracted with other reads, but I am interested in seeing where it goes.

I read Salt and Storm and (Don't You) Forget About Me and loved them both. :) I can't wait to see your thoughts on both of them so we can compare opinions! :D

Thanks for sharing Allie, and wonderful choices! Happy reading! <3

    1. YES THE 5TH WAVE. Question though: are you an Evan girl or a Ben girl? Because I'm totally Team Ben and your answer will affect our friendship ;)

      Delete
    2. I'm Team Ben too! I just wasn't sold on the slight instalove between Evan & Cassie in the first place. I thought it was sweet how Cassie had a crush on Ben even before the alien invasion. That's got to count for something, right? ;)

      Delete
    3. Ahhh, kindred!!!

The insta-ove with Evan was ridiculous and he was so creepy. Ridiculously creepy. I don't get the attraction there at all :/

But Ben was just *sigh* he was awesome, and I agree: it's adorable she had a crush on him before. So I'm hoping that Evan will fade away and Cassie and Ben will flourish. They're kismet, man

  13. Ooh great picks, Allie!! I'm so excited for In the Afterlight, Mara Dyer, and The Infinite Sea!! Made For You was really creepy and good, Salt & Storm wasn't bad either :) Enjoy your books!

    1. I'm really interested in creepy books lately – I want to be a bit freaked out. No more fluffy contemps for me, I think!

  14. In the Afterlight and Salt & Storm made my list too! And The Infinite Sea *almost* made my list, but choosing 10 was hard! And I don't know how I didn't know that The Body Electric was coming out this soon. Huge fail. I need that one too. And I must read Don't You Forget About Me. UGH. I need more hours in the day, I want to read ALL the books! Great list!

    1. Yeah, choosing ten was . . . well, it took me a while and it was a painful process.

More hours in the day is exactly what's needed. If you figure out the trick for that, let me know! Otherwise I'm going to have to get rid of sleep from my life ;)

  15. I am really curious about Don't You Forget About Me. There are a lot of mystery/spooky type reads I hope to read soon!

    1. Same here! I'm really intrigued by mysterious and creepy books lately. I'm not enjoying bog-standard contemps as much any more because they don't twist me around like the eerie books do

  16. I can't WAIT to read the final Mara Dyer, I've loved the series so far as well as In The After Light, brilliant series! The Infinite Sea is brilliant, such a different feel from the The 5th Wave and doesn't focus on romance either. It's much more emotional as well. Dorothy Must Die! I loved that book passionately too. It's dark and delicious. I was worried that it would hack the original Wizard of Oz, but it's brilliant and incredibly sassy. Fantastic list and thanks for sharing <3

    Replies
    1. I'm glad Infinite Sea doesn't focus on romance because Evan was my least favourite thing about 5th Wave. Seriously. I wanted to punch him LOL.

Ohh, oh, oh! Dark and delicious YES. I'm so glad, because it's sounds gorgeously insane

  17. Oh, "Made for You" I really want, because Melissa Marr is one of my favourite authors. And I'm also looking forward to "The Body Electrict". It sounds exciting! :)

  18. These look great! I'm currently reading Dorothy Must Die, and I'm DYING for Blue Lily, Lily Blue. (Seriously. I don't use all-caps lightly.) In the meantime, I really need to go back and read some of Maggie Stiefvater's other stuff...

    1. Ohhh how is Dorothy?

I'M SO EXCITED FOR BLUE LILY I'M PUTTING THE WHOLE SENTENCE OF EXCITEMENT IN CAPS. There is no other way to talk about The Raven Cycle books than caps. It's just a thing ;)

  19. (Don't You) Forget About Me is a fantastic book! It's very weird, but that's part of why it's so great. :)

    1. Weird books are the best books because they're different and rip you out of your comfort zone. I like that. They're unpredictable and that just makes the reading experience all the more fun

  21. Addicted After All! <3 So excited to see how this trilogy ends. Plus more Connor. ;) Definitely excited for The Body Electric as well. I didn't like The 5th Wave, so I won't be picking up The Infinite Sea. Dorothy Must Die was a meh read for me as well. >_< BUT I just finished Salt & Storm and it was fabulous! Happy reading, Allie!

    1. Ahh, see I'm more of a Ryke girl lol. He and Daisy are my OTP for sure.

At least you liked Salt & Storm so yay! That's the one I was a bit apprehensive about because of some of the reviews, but if you liked it (and you're hard to please, dude!) then that's a good sign haha

  22. Ooh yes In the Afterlife is definitely in my TBR as well! I am so excited to pick that one up.

I have yet to start reading Raven Boys, but I totally have to start - I can see how much you love it! :D I just finished reading Heir of Fire, which was AMAZING! *heavy breathing* Now I'm in such a book hangover, and I'm still deciding what to start reading next!

  24. *drools a little because...Lily Blue* Ohhh, the covers here are just delicious. I LOVE THEM ALL. I would like, particularly, to eat Don't You Forget About Me and Made For You -- purely because of covers. Yes. I'm awfully shallow like that.
